Help & Advice

Collectively, the Trustees of The Rhodesian Ridgeback Welfare Trust have spent over 250 years with Ridgebacks, so we are often able to help people who have difficulties with their Ridgebacks, either from our own experience or by referring them to someone who may have the answer to their problem.

Frequently, this means that a Ridgeback which would otherwise have had to be rehomed is able to stay with its original owner.

This, of course, is best for the dog and saves distress for the owner too.

It also means saving the Trust valuable time and money to devote to those which cannot remain in their original home.

If you need help with a problem concerning your Ridgeback, don’t hesitate to email us or to telephone one of the Trustees, whose names and contact details are on the Contacts page.

Probably the most extensive source of advice on Ridgeback specific general health issues is the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Great Britain, follow the link below to their home page then click of the Breed Health section

You may also be able to discuss your Ridgeback with the regional Rhodesian Ridgeback clubs, links to their web sites can be found
